A Self-Loathing Evangelical?

Former Congressman Mark Siljander, a self-described "poster-boy" for Jerry Falwell and a man who once objected to the reading of the Koran at a prayer breakfast because it was "the devil's book" has just been indicted for money-laundering on behalf of a terrorist group. Mr. W. laments:

This guy was one of the best young Turks in Congress, replacing Dave Stockman, and one of my conservative heroes in those days. I believe he was one of the strongest evangelicals in Congress. Must have fallen on terrible hard times but can’t understand his route to pimping for Muslim terrorism.
