Naturally JK Rowling's revelation of the Christian parallels in HP was completely overshadowed by her...other revelation. When I first saw the headline it seemed out of character for her --a bit cheap. On reading the account of what happened, I think at least that the remark doesn't represent JKR's intent to use the book tour as a crusade, nor did she go out onstage with the idea of making that titillating revelation. As far as its relevance to the books, I agree completely with Cacciaguida's take (and I stole the post title from him, too).
