Two BIG gubernatorial races a week from today. I'm predicting both Republicans Kilgore (VA) and Forrester (NJ) will go down. Expect the MSM to read the defeats as a good omen for Dems in the mid-terms and blame everything on voter displeasure with Scootergate, the war, and Alito. But don't believe them. I'm not really following the Forrester case --I'm just betting an "R" can't win in NJ. But Kilgore has run a terrible campaign. He won't press social issues (other than the death penalty) and he won't promise not to raise taxes. So -even though a 2nd straight defeat for VA Republicans is going to smart, it will signify nothing at the national level.
